Mini Bernedoodle Breed Overview

Find the Right Mini Bernedoodle Puppy for Your Family

The Mini Bernedoodle is a hybrid created by crossing a Bernese Mountain Dog with a Miniature Poodle. Adult Mini Bernedoodles often weigh 20–50 pounds and stand approximately 18–22 inches tall. Size can vary considerably based on the parents and each puppy’s development.

Affectionate, intelligent, playful, and loyal, Mini Bernedoodles often enjoy close involvement with their families. They generally respond well to positive training, consistent routines, and early socialization. Individual personalities, energy levels, and training needs can vary.

Mini Bernedoodles need daily exercise and activities that engage their minds. Walks, training games, and supervised play can help support their physical and mental needs. They can live in apartments when owners consistently provide sufficient activity and companionship. A large yard is helpful but not essential.

Their coats may be straight, wavy, or curly and are often low-shedding. Coat type and shedding can vary, even among puppies from the same litter. Regular brushing and professional grooming help prevent tangles and keep their coats manageable.

Mini Bernedoodles commonly live 12–15 years, although individual health and longevity vary. They may inherit health concerns from either parent breed. Prospective owners should discuss preventive care and breed-related concerns with a veterinarian.

For families prepared to provide grooming, training, activity, and companionship, a Mini Bernedoodle can be a devoted addition. Review our health guarantee and puppy training information before deciding.
